  Great film, truly amazing what this man can memorize. I wish all of us could tap into or have that capacity of retention. good artist too.

  i want to thank everyone here for all the help and kind words offered to me as i adjust to having worth.

  i guess i have a long way to go and i guess i'm going to have to go and see a counselor like someone else suggested.. no matter how hard i work or what i accomplish, i still feel so ugly and i'm still afraid of the stupidest things.

  i don't know if my fears are on par with paranoia, but they are definitely distracting and i need to get some outside assistance.. the good news is that around here, with people who've gone through the same, i feel better.

  Hey Abandoned, Friend,

  We understand. these are the times I wish we here had more opportunities to see each other and lend our assistance and support face to face. anyone who opens up like so many do here display a great deal of courage. it's not easy. your a compelling figure my friend with many admirable qualities, your eloquent in how you express yourself, you clearly have writing talents and you have made many friends here in just a few month's. that says alot, not only about your worth but who geniune friends are. we may have fictious names,sometimes vague descriptions of where we are or fear exposing personal information but never forget we are truthful about the most important thing, friendship and caring about each other.

  Lets face it, our experiences as jw's have scared us and being reassured and having a belonging again to something we can actually believe in is what this board gives many of us. I would however, like you to replace " ugly" with" just trying to make sense of all of it"

  This response is a day late so I hope today finds you in better spirits. remember, if you survived being a jw, you can handle anything. it took time to leave the WBTS, give yourself the time to handle the afterward.

  give a few examples in which the watchtower should stick to religion and mind it's own business in the internal affairs of it's members.. 1) whatever has to do with health and medical treatment.. 2) who you can marry and sex they can have.. add to the list..

  to everyone i wish a very special holiday season and a thank-you to all for the kindness and help i have received from the folks on this board.

  i had problems mentally dealing with family and health as well.. i am fine now and want to say thank-you to a few that have really helped in one way or another.. katiekitten, sparkplug (who really looks a lot like j lo) coco, chris and nina, warlock, outlaw (who always makes me laugh) mary, blondie and of course crazy bonde deb (who is sweet and not crazy) lol.

  BOOKSTORE INCIDENT

  as you all know by now, i work in a bookstore in the religion section.

  (i also shelve the philosophy and metaphysics sections.).

  while straightening the bibles i was approached by a lady customer who seemed perplexed.

  Seems like when you're well into your 50's you just don't feel like arguing anymore

  Amen to that Juni, however I'm in my late forties and I feel that way already. I've done a lifetime of arguing the Bible already.

  Terry, thanks for the great information and sharing this experience you had, clearly by how you handled yourself, kind, considerate and to the point shows your NOT a witness! apparently the well dressed man who bulldozed his way into the conversation needs to learn this.

  today, after lunch, two jws stopped by to offer us the latest magazines.

  my husband was the one who answered the door, i was getting ready for work.

  he invited them in for a good talk, but they refused.

  Hi Cellist,

  Your Husband handled the visit well, it's nice to see the witnesses uncomfortable instead of the "householder". if family isn't a issue, your fortunate there, I say who cares. I faded mainly due to it being easier for both sides as I have a elderly mother and one ill sister and I want to help out where and whenever i can.

  Keep us posted and good luck if the lynch mob comes a callin...

  was there a knot pecking order at your hall, or was this not the case.

  (pardon the pun) http://www.tie-a-tie.net/ ugh and if anyone has more coherent directions for tying a windsor knot i'm all ears my piddly little fudged knot is the laughing stock of work.
